Children and young people are always welcome at Saint Paul’s. Most of our children and young people come along at 10.30 am on a Sunday morning when the Young Church, known as ‘Beans-Talk’, meets. Visiting children or children new to St Paul’s are more than welcome to remain in church for the service but are equally welcome to join one of the groups:
- Ages: Primary 1-Primary 5 (Jelly Beans)
- Ages: Primary 6-S2 (Runner Beans)
Young people aged S3 and above are invited to become Young Church Leaders. Speak to one of the clergy if interested.
Adults and children gather together on a Sunday morning in the main church for the first part of the service before the young people go to their groups just before the Bible readings of the day are read. Once in their groups, the children will usually explore some of the themes of the readings, often through story and craft. Sometimes the Young Church will show what they’ve been doing at the end of the service in the main church. The Young Church uses a range of activities from a variety of resources, including Godly Play and Spill the Beans.
Each year the Young Church performs a Nativity play.
