The Cathedral is regularly used for concerts and recitals.

St Paul’s has a fine resonant acoustic in which to make music. Additionally, it has fine instruments: an 1865 3 manual pipe organ by Wm Hill & Son, and a Bluthner Concert Grand Piano. The organ is currently tuned and maintained by Harrison & Harrison of Durham.
